Richard Whitehead is currently the Chief Executive of AECOM's Global Buildings + Places division, where they lead a team of over 10,000 professionals in providing diverse infrastructure services. Since 2023, Richard has also served as a Trustee for CRASH, the construction industry charity, and holds governance positions at both Oaklands College and the Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership. With previous roles including Executive Director of Operations at Jacobs Engineering and various engineering positions at Atkins and AECOM, Richard has built extensive experience in the buildings and infrastructure sector. Richard obtained their degree from the University of Liverpool between 1986 and 1989.
