Omar Gonzalez

Omar Gonzalez is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project controls and management, particularly in large and complex capital projects across various sectors, including civil and urban transportation. Currently serving as the Sr. Director of Commercial & Project Controls at Aecon Group Inc., Omar leads the Integrated Operational Controls team, overseeing commercial management, cost estimation, risk management, procurement, and sub-contract management. Prior experience includes roles as Project Controls Director at Aecon, Project Controls Manager for the Doha Metro Project at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, and Sr. Strategic Programme Planner at Bechtel Civil Infrastructure, among others.
