Rochus Mönter

Rochus Mönter has extensive work experience in the legal field. Rochus is currently working as the General Counsel at AEC since March 2023. Prior to that, they were the Owner of the Law office of Rochus Mönter starting from 2022. From 2018 to 2021, they held the position of General Counsel - Head of Legal at Lilium. Before that, they worked at Airbus as Vice President from 2009 to 2018. Rochus started their career at Bavaria International Aircraft Leasing (Schörghuber Corporate Group) in 1995 as the Managing Director & General Counsel, and they held this role until 2009.

Rochus Mönter began their education in 1985 at The University of Bonn, where they obtained their First State Law Exam degree from 1985 to 1990. Following this, they pursued further legal studies at the Oberlandesgericht/ Higher District Court Düsseldorf, completing their Second State Law Exam degree between 1990 and 1993. Mönter then undertook international studies at the University of California, Davis - School of Law from 1997 to 2000, earning a Licentiate in International Transactions Involving the United States. During this period, they focused on US Law, International Financial Transactions, and International Joint Ventures. Additionally, Mönter pursued studies in the French language, history, and literature at Université Paul Valéry - Montpellier III, where they obtained a Diplôme d’Etudes Françaises from 1983 to 1984.
