Michael Johnson

Michael Johnson started their career in 1988 at PwC, where they worked for 22 years in the Insurance Practice. During their time at PwC, they gained extensive experience in various areas of insurance, including Property & Casualty, Life Insurance, and Reinsurance. Their roles included Audit Assurance as well as involvement in M&A, public offerings, financial consulting, financial restructuring, transaction structuring, and financial/operational efficiency projects. In 2010, Michael joined AEGIS Insurance Services, Inc. as the Chief Financial Officer & Executive Vice President, where they focused on developing and implementing financial processes and systems to improve financial performance and efficiency. Michael also worked collaboratively to optimize capital position, strengthen credit rating position, and achieve a top quartile return on capital result.

Michael Johnson's education history starts with their completion of the General Studies program at Davidson High School from 1982 to 1987, where they earned their Higher School Certificate. Afterward, they pursued a Bachelor of Economics degree at Macquarie University from 1988 to 1992. During their time there, they focused on Actuarial Science and Accounting. Following this, from 1993 to 1994, Michael attended Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, where they obtained the degree of Chartered Accountant, specializing in Accounting and Finance. Recently, in 2020, they completed the Certified Plan Sponsor Professional (CPSP) program at the Plan Sponsor Council of America, emphasizing Retirement Plans.
