Peter Chittenden is an experienced engineering professional specializing in machinery loss control and property risk assessment. Currently serving as a Senior Account Engineer and Senior Machinery Engineer at AEGIS Insurance Services, Inc. since January 2019, Peter conducts machinery loss control evaluations at electrical utility power plants. Prior experience includes roles in boiler and machinery loss control at HSB/MunichRe from 2016 to January 2019, and as a Risk Management Engineering Specialist in 2015, focusing on commercial property automatic sprinkler plans and risk assessments. Peter also worked as an Engineering Specialist at FM Global from 1989 to 2015, providing expertise in fire loss prevention and equipment hazard evaluations in utility and chemical facilities. Peter holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
