Richard Johnson

Richard Johnson has worked in the software development industry since 1989. Richard began their career at QMS, Inc. as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, where they were involved in all areas of printer manufacturing, including new processes and new product development. In 2002, they moved to the University of South Alabama, where they taught C++, Visual BASIC.NET, and FORTRAN to Engineering and IT students. In 2008, they joined The SSI Group, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer in R&D, designing core technology APIs and frameworks. In 2016, they joined XANTE CORPORATION as a Software Engineer, developing pre-press workflow software. Richard currently works at Aegis Mobile as a Senior Software Developer, developing automated vetting services for the mobile telecom industry and messaging market.

Richard Johnson attended the University of South Alabama from 1987 to 1990, where they earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Richard then attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 1984 to 1986, studying Aeronautical Engineering, before returning to the University of South Alabama from 1996 to 2000, where they earned an M.S. in Computer & Information Sciences.
