Russell Wisner

Russell Wisner has a diverse work experience in the IT and risk management field. Russell started their career in 1999 at Verizon Business as a Project Manager, where they managed user acceptance testing and maintained business relationships with vendors. In 2010, they joined Pearson plc as a Senior Analyst, focusing on business continuity and disaster recovery. Russell later became the Manager of Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery, supervising a team and maintaining certification. In 2014, they transitioned to Pearson as the Director of Corporate Security, Risk & Resilience, and was responsible for overseeing security and risk management. Currently, since 2019, they work at Aegon Asset Management, first as a Senior IT Risk Manager and currently as the Global Head of IT Risk Management.

Russell Wisner earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Applied French from the University of Iowa between 1989 and 1993. In addition to their degree, they have obtained certifications such as Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) from ISACA and Associate Member of the Business Continuity Institute (AMBCI) from the Business Continuity Institute.
