David Wilson

David Wilson is an experienced financial professional with a strong background in financial reporting and analysis. Currently serving as the Financial Reporting Director at Aegon UK since December 2023, David previously held multiple leadership roles at Aegon, including Head of Analysis & Change and IFRS17 Programme Director, where responsibilities included implementing the finance change programme for IFRS17. Prior experience includes positions such as Interim Head of Global Reporting at Bupa, Financial Controller at the Royal Bank of Scotland, and contractor for financial reporting at Virgin Money. David's extensive career also features significant roles at Standard Life, where achievements included leading projects for Solvency 2 and ensuring compliance with IFRS reporting requirements. David began professional training at Scott Oswald & Co and later advanced to senior management at PwC, focusing on audit planning and corporate governance. David holds an MA (Hons) in Economics with Accountancy from the University of Aberdeen and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
