Kate Smith

Kate Smith is an experienced professional in the pensions industry, currently serving as a Director at Corporate Trustee of Aegon UK Defined Benefit Scheme Trustees Limited since July 2024 and as Policy Co-Chair at the Pensions Equity Group since July 2022. Previously, Kate has held several leadership roles at Aegon UK since August 2006, including Head of Public Affairs and Head of Master Trust, where responsibilities included leading the authorisation submission of the Aegon Master Trust. Prior experience includes roles as Regulatory Strategy Manager/Head of Pensions and Senior Pensions Development Manager at Aviva plc from August 2005 to June 2006 and various consulting positions at PwC, Mercer, and Friends Provident. Kate holds a BA (Hons) in Economic and Social History from the University of York, awarded in 1986.
