Katie McKenzie

Katie McKenzie is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the energy sector. As President of the World Energy Council Australian Committee and various leadership roles at the Australian Institute of Energy, Katie has significantly contributed to raising awareness and promoting discussions on energy issues in Australia. Katie currently serves as Group Manager for WA System Design and Transformation at the Australian Energy Market Operator. Past roles include Director at EY, Vice President of the United Nations Association of Australia (WA Division), and Managing Director at Macht Consulting, where strategic advice was provided on decarbonization and energy business models. Katie has also held key advisory positions in the Western Australian government, focusing on energy policy and market reform. Educationally, Katie holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Edith Cowan University and has completed executive education in Behavioral Economics at Harvard Business School.
