Mark Katsikandarakis

Mark Katsikandarakis is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as the CEO Associate at the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) since November 2015. In this role, Mark supports the CEO's office and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) by managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Prior to this, Mark held several managerial positions at AEMO, including Manager of WA Market Reforms and Manager of Business Readiness (WEM Reform), where responsibilities included guiding market reform design and preparing stakeholders for significant operational changes. Mark previously worked as a Team Leader at the Independent Market Operator and as a Project Engineer at KBR, Inc., contributing to major projects such as the Ichthys LNG Development. Mark holds dual degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Applied Mathematics from The University of Western Australia.
