Shalindra de Silva

Shalindra De Silva is an accomplished cybersecurity professional with extensive experience at the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) since June 2009, currently serving as Manager of Cyber Defence. Throughout tenure at AEMO, Shalindra has held various managerial positions focusing on cyber threat operations, risk assurance, and incident response. Shalindra has contributed to significant initiatives such as the Cyber Uplift Program and the implementation of Five-Minute Settlement in the National Electricity Market. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Network Engineer at NEMMCO, Data & Security Engineer at Netstar, and as a Network Engineer at NTT Australia and Davnet. Educational qualifications include an MBA from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from both the University of Technology Sydney and the University of Sydney.
