Mitsugu Tamai

Mitsugu Tamai was appointed as the Non-Independent and Non-Executive Director of AEON Credit Service (M) Berhad on 23 June 2021. Tamai has over 20 years of experience in the retail and financial industry. Tamai started his career at AEON Credit Service Co., Ltd in 1999. He was appointed as the Chief General Manager of Accounting and Finance Division of AEON Credit Service Co., Ltd in May 2006 and in April 2007, he was appointed as the Executive Director and Head of Finance Division and later appointed as the Executive Officer Related Company Management Department in March 2010. In March 2012, Tamai transferred to AEON Mall Co., Ltd where he held the position as the Head of Group Business Administration and was subsequently appointed as the General Manager and Head of Administration in August 2012. In April 2013, Tamai was appointed as the Executive Director and Head of ASEAN Region at AEON Mall Co., Ltd and in April 2019, he was appointed as the Executive Director and Head of ASEAN Division & Head of Digitalisation. He was then transferred to AEON Financial Service Co., Ltd in April 2021 and held the position of Managing Executive Officer of the Overseas Business Division. Tamai holds a Business Administration, specialised in Business Accounting from Yokohama National University, Japan.

He does not hold any directorship in any other public or public listed company.
