Andrea de la Piedra Garcia is the CEO and co-founder of Aequales, a Peruvian company that advocates for gender equality in the workplace. Andrea has extensive experience in corporate social responsibility and communications, having worked as an analyst for Kraft Foods and as a supervisor of projects for the Asociación Trabajo Voluntario. In their previous role as head of information for La Mula, a Peruvian scientific news website, they were responsible for researching and writing national and international news stories, as well as supervising the work of other reporters and editors.

Andrea de la Piedra Garcia has a Fellowship from Georgetown University in Washington DC in the Programa de Liderazgo Global Competitivo, a Bachiller from Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas in Comunicación y Periodismo, and is currently an Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness in Latin America (ECLA) student at Columbia University in the City of New York. Andrea is also studying for a Maestría de Estudios de Género in Estudios de Género at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
