Jie Yang

Jie Yang is an accomplished machine learning engineer currently serving as the Lead Machine Learning Engineer at Aer Lingus since June 2025. Previously, Jie held multiple roles at CarTrawler from July 2017 to June 2025, including Head of Machine Learning DevOps, Data Science DevOps Manager, Principal Data Scientist, and Data Scientist. Prior experience includes positions at Espion as a Data Scientist and Software Developer, as well as roles at BlueBridge Technologies and Nuwave Ventures Ltd in system architecture and embedded systems. Jie also worked as a Database Administrator at Energy Design Lab and contributed as a demonstrator at Dublin City University. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. from Dublin City University focused on big data analysis, alongside a Master’s in Network Communication and a Bachelor’s in Software Engineering.
