Michael Barcoe

Michael Barcoe is an experienced airline pilot currently employed by Aer Lingus since January 2023. Previously, Michael served as a maritime surveillance and security pilot with the 101 Squadron of the Irish Air Corps from October 2011 to June 2023, operating CASA CN235 Maritime Patrol aircraft. Over a 16-year tenure with the Irish Air Corps, Michael held multiple roles, including military pilot, press officer, and ab initio flight instructor, involved in both ground and airborne training. Additionally, Michael was a staff officer in strategic planning within the Irish Defence Forces from July 2017 to September 2018. Academic credentials include an Executive MBA in Aircraft Leasing from the University of Limerick, and multiple engineering and management degrees from Technological University Dublin.
