Marcus Horgan has over 15 years of experience in the energy and finance industries. Marcus began their career in 2006 as a Financial Analyst for AIB Capital Markets, where they were responsible for preparing weekly investment recommendations and daily trading opportunities in the US leveraged loan and bond markets. In 2008, Marcus joined Morgan Sindall (Construction & Infrastructure) as a Junior Design Engineer/Assistant Project Manager, where they provided Temporary Works structural design using AutoCad and liaised with Site Agents/Section Engineers to ensure designs were both practical and economical to construct. In 2011, Marcus moved to Wind Prospect as a Project Engineer, where they were responsible for delivering technical engineering advice and packages of work to development teams and other clients on UK onshore wind energy projects. In 2012, they joined Mainstream Renewable Power as a Corporate Finance Associate, where they were tasked with building the business case and creation of financial models, as well as managing collaboration with Irish/UK government and advising on partnership strategies for development and funding. In 2014, Marcus moved to NTR plc as a Senior Investment Manager, where they were the lead negotiator on a long-term Swedish Corporate PPA for 275 GWh p.a. and lead on the acquisition of 10 wind and solar assets in Ireland, UK, Sweden, and Finland. Currently, Marcus is the Head of Investment for Aer Soléir.

Marcus Horgan graduated from University College Cork in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Corporate Finance. Marcus then continued their education at The University of Edinburgh, where they earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Civil and Environmental Engineering in 2011.
