Before that, they worked at Cisco Systems as a Network Lab Engineer from 2000 to 2002, where they developed and recreated customer networks, supported networking engineers, and trained new hires on Cisco products and services.

Salim's early work experience includes a managerial role at Circuit City from 1998 to 2000.
