Senior Software Engineer at Aerial Applications

Alex Shiffer has worked in a variety of roles since 2015. Alex began as a Flight Student at ATP Flight School in 2015, then moved on to a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Tech II Inc. in 2014. In 2018, Alex worked as a Systems Engineer Intern at Aerial Applications. In 2019, Alex was a Graduate Research Assistant at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where they co-led the Connected Automated Vehicle sub-team of Embry-Riddle's EcoCAR Mobility Challenge team. Alex also worked as a Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship - Mechanical Engineering Intern at Argonne National Laboratory in 2019. Currently, Alex is a Software Engineer at Mapware.

Alex Shiffer has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 2015-2019 with a major in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering. Alex is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the same university and is expected to complete their degree in 2021. In addition to their academic qualifications, Alex has obtained certifications from the Scrum Alliance (Certified Scrum Product Owner - CSPO in 2021), PADI (Dive Master in 2018), and the Federal Aviation Administration (Commercial Pilot Certificate in 2016).
