Mikko Elomaa has nearly two decades of experience in software engineering and research. Mikko began their career in 2004 as a Research Scientist at Aalto University, where they focused on their thesis research and post-graduate studies. In 2006, they worked as a Visiting Researcher at CEA - Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives, where they worked on their thesis research and developed a directional antenna for the thesis case study. From 2011 to 2018, they worked at Espotel as a Chief Engineer and Software Designer. In 2018, they became a Senior Systems Engineer at Gryphon Secure. From 2019 to 2020, they were an Independent Researcher while waiting for their Canadian work permit. In 2020, they relocated to Montreal and began working as a Software Engineer at Aerial Technologies.
Mikko Elomaa obtained their Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) in Automation Technology from Aalto University in 2010 and their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Automation Technology from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan prior to that. Mikko also holds a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
