Kelby Ferwerda

Kelby Ferwerda is an entrepreneur and aviation consultant, specializing in general aviation. Following his college career in business administration, he conceived a flight training center that quickly grew to an award winning organization that received national recognition on multiple occasions. Holding a Gold Seal CFI certificate, and having received the designation of Master CFI, Kelby followed his aviation passion to AOPA Headquarters where he now applies his knowledge managing the Flying Club Initiative and supports Pilot Community Development. Kelby still flies and instructs regularly and is the owner of several aircraft including a 1946 Aeronca Champ that he recently restored.
