Martin Bobek

Martin Bobek has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Martin currently serves as the SVP of Underwriting at OpenHouse Home Insurance from December 2021. Prior to this, Martin worked as a Vice President of Sales at AeroClave from January 2017. Martin also has experience as an Independent Consultant from May 2015 to January 2017.

Martin's earlier roles include serving as the Vice President of Business Development and Products at Gulfstream Property & Casualty Insurance from April 2013 to May 2015. In this position, they were responsible for leading geographic expansion, strategy, distribution, sales, product development, pricing, and improving operational performance and efficiency.

Before Gulfstream, Martin worked for GMAC Insurance as the Vice President of Business Development and Property from February 2011 to April 2013. Martin's earlier career includes positions such as the Chief Underwriting Officer at Vanguard Fire and Casualty from October 2003 to September 2006, Senior Product Development Manager at American Modern Insurance Group from October 2001 to October 2003, Underwriting Manager at Renaissance US Holdings from October 1999 to October 2001, and Underwriting Manager at Tower Hill Insurance Group from October 1997 to October 1999.

Martin Bobek has a diverse educational background. Martin obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Florida - Warrington College of Business between 1999 and 2001. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures, General at the University of Florida from 1995 to 1996. Martin also completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in French at the University of Florida from 1993 to 1995.

Before attending the University of Florida, Martin attended Wichita State University from 1988 to 1990. Their education started at SHAPE American High School, where they studied from 1984 to 1988.

In addition to their academic degrees, Martin has obtained several certifications. These include the Connecticut Non-Resident Agent certification from the Connecticut Department of Insurance, the Florida General Lines Agent (220) certification from the Florida Office of Financial Regulation, and the Texas Managing General Agent (MGA) License.
