Maura Hennessey

Maura Hennessey is a Materials and Process Engineer at Aerodyne Industries LLC since November 2022, where responsibilities include evaluating payloads for the International Space Station and ensuring compliance with NASA's material requirements. Previous experience includes roles as a Mechanical Engineer at Safespill and Schlumberger, supporting cable manufacturing and analyzing equipment performance. Additionally, Maura served as an Engineering Intern at Rising Tide Waterfront Solutions, conducting inspections and developing material specifications for waterfront projects. Earlier, involvement as a MakerLodge Mentor at MIT focused on creating a makerspace and training students in fabrication technology, complemented by experience as a Teaching Assistant in chemistry and an Undergraduate Research Assistant in catalyst synthesis. Maura holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Materials Science & Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
