Director Of Flight Operations at AeroFlite Aerial Firefighting

William Thomas has a diverse and extensive work experience. William started their career as an Intermediate Developmental Education In Residence Student at Air Command and Staff College in 2003. William then served as the Chief of Helicopter Operations at HQ Twentieth Air Force from 2004 to 2006. William commanded the 40th Helicopter Squadron from 2006 to 2008. Afterwards, they became the Commanding Officer of USAF Academy Cadet Group 3 from 2008 to 2010. William then worked at Air War College as an Associate Dean of the Distance Learning Program and a Senior Developmental Education In-Residence Student from 2010 to 2012. William was the Commanding Officer of the USAF Survival School from 2012 to 2014. In 2014, they joined Hudson School District as the Director of the Air Force JROTC Program and Senior Aerospace Science Instructor. William then served as the Chief Operating Officer at Sagacity21 from 2015 to 2016. William worked as a Medical Transport Pilot at Life Flight Network in 2016 and as the Director of Safety at AeroFlite Aerial Firefighting from 2018 to 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Flight Operations at AeroFlite Aerial Firefighting.

William Thomas has a strong educational background in the field of aviation and military studies. William obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Basic Sciences from the United States Air Force Academy, graduating in 1990. Afterwards, they pursued further education at the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 1994 to 1997, earning a Master of Aeronautical Science degree with a specialization in Aviation Operations.

In 2003, William attended the USAF Air Command and Staff College, where they completed a Master of Military Operational Art and Science degree, focusing on Military Operational Art and Science/Studies. William then enrolled in the Air War College in 2010 and completed a Master of Strategic Studies degree in Military and Strategic Leadership in 2011.

Apart from their academic achievements, William Thomas also holds several certifications. William obtained their Commercial Instrument Helicopter Pilot certification from the Federal Aviation Administration in July 1991. William also earned the USAF Command Pilot certification from the United States Air Force during the same period. Additionally, they became a Parachutist after completing the necessary training at the United States Air Force Academy in February 1989.
