Tom Caska

CEO & Co founder at Aerologix

Tom Caska has a long and varied work experience. Starting in 2008, they worked as a Pilot/Business Developer for Hawker Pacific, where they were a test Pilot for Aircraft and worked as Medivac Pilot for organ retrieval. In 2010, they became an Airline Pilot for QantasLink and gained 3500 hrs of aeronautical experience and an Australian Airline Transport Pilots Licence (ATPL). Tom also worked extensively in Fleet and Technical development to help introduce new technologies into the flight deck. In 2017, they became a Guest Lecturer at UNSW. In 2018, they became the UAV Operations Coordinator and Chief Pilot & Head of UAV operations at Surf Life Saving NSW, overseeing and further developing what will be the largest UAV operation in Australia. In 2019, they became the CEO & Co-founder of AEROLOGIX. Finally, in 2022, they became a Tech council of Australia affiliate member, providing a trusted voice for Australia's technology industry.

Tom Caska attended Central Coast Grammar School from 1989 to 2001. Tom then attended Barker College from 1999 to 2000. Tom then attended the University of New South Wales (UNSW) from 2002 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautics/Aviation/Aerospace Science and Technology, General and an Aviation Honors (Major Human Factors) degree in Aviation. Tom also obtained an Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority in June 2014. In 2017, they began a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Technology at AGSM @ UNSW Business School, which they completed in 2021. In 2020, they also completed the Founders 10X accelerator program at UNSW in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies.
