Alejandro Contreras Campos has a comprehensive work experience in the aviation industry. Alejandro started their career in 1991 at Mexicana Airlines as the Regional VP for Mexico and Latam Airports, where they served for 16 years until 2007. Alejandro then joined SENEAM as the Vice President of Management Control from December 2007 to March 2009, and later as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources from April to October 2009. In November 2009, Alejandro joined Aeromexico as the Chief Operating Officer of Aeromexico Servicios until June 2011. Alejandro then took on the role of Vice President of Mexico City International Airport at Aeromexico from June 2011 to July 2021, where they ensured the smooth operation of daily flights and led a team of over 2,700 employees. Currently, Alejandro serves as the Vice President of Domestic Airports Management at Aeromexico, a position they have held since August 2021.

Alejandro Contreras Campos holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, which they obtained from 1989 to 1995. Alejandro also completed a Postgraduate Degree in Business Administration Services from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, during the period of 1999-2000. Furthermore, they attended IPADE Business School from 2017 to 2018, where they completed a Postgraduate Degree in Management Development Program D-1 D.
