Gilberto Lopez Meyer

Gilberto Lopez Meyer currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Safety and Security at Aeromexico, a position held since March 2024. Prior to this role, Gilberto held senior vice president positions in safety and security at Korean Air from June 2021 to March 2024 and at the International Air Transport Association (IATA) from October 2015 to May 2021. Gilberto’s career in aviation regulation and management includes roles as Director General at Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil (D.G.A.C. México), Aeropuertos y Servicios Auxiliares, and Mexico City International Airport. Gilberto began the career in aviation as an Airline Transport Pilot at Mexicana Airlines from 1986 to 2003. Educational qualifications include a Master of International Business Law from Universidad Iberoamericana, various diplomas in law from Universidad Panamericana, and a degree in Law from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, along with an Advanced Business Management Program from IPADE Business School.
