Jorge Cano

Jorge Cano has extensive work experience in various roles, primarily in finance and audit. Jorge started their career as an Auditor at Coopers & Lybrand, where they conducted financial reviews for different companies. Jorge then worked at American Express as a Compliance Officer, establishing a comprehensive compliance program.

After that, Jorge joined Nextel Mexico, first as the Director of Financial Operations and later as the Director of Internal Audit. In these roles, they ensured compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and established the annual audit plan and budget.

Jorge then moved on to Kraft Foods Mexico, where they served as the Senior Manager of Internal Control, implementing a new risk-based methodology and providing advisory services to management.

Later in their career, Jorge joined American Tower as the Regional Director of the Shared Service Center in LATAM. Jorge provided back-office services to other operations and defined the scope and depth of the processes to be migrated to the SSC.

Their next role was at Johnson & Johnson as the Controller of Global Financial Services, where they provided back-office services to all sectors of the company. Jorge implemented a cost optimization model and led the process for divestiture and integration of several franchises.

Most recently, Jorge worked at Aeromexico as the VP of Internal Audit. Jorge performed a quality review of the function, established a new risk-based methodology, and submitted the internal audit plan for review and approval.

Jorge Cano has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Universidad La Salle, A.C., which they obtained from 1989 to 1994. Jorge also holds several diplomas in different fields, including Finance, Reengineering, Telecommunications, and Corporate Governance, from the same university and other institutions such as IPADE Business School and Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México. Finally, they completed a Senior Management Program in Management at IPADE Business School from 2004 to 2005.
