Garrett Tillis has extensive work experience in the aviation industry. Garrett started their career in 2005 as a General Manager at Texas Aviation Services, where they managed a Helicopter FAA Part 145 Modification and Repair Center. Their responsibilities included avionics installations, structural modifications, custom interiors/exterior paint, FAA certifications, and acting as a liaison between customers and the FAA. In 2022, they joined AeroRepair Corp as their Chief Inspector, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations. Garrett also briefly worked as an A&P School Instructor at the Aviation Institute of Maintenance and as an Aircraft Inspector at Force Aviation.
Garrett Tillis has received education and training in various fields related to aircraft maintenance. In 1981, they completed a course on As 350D Air Frame, Engine, and Electrical Systems at American Eurocopter. The following year, in 1982, they received training in Bell Helicopter Field Maintenance. In 2001, they underwent initial training for Learjet 31A maintenance. In 2003, they received training to run engines and taxi the Learjet 60. In 2006, they completed a course on Repair Station Management, focusing on best practice management for repair station personnel and business. In 2012, they underwent training in Advanced Electrical Troubleshooting for troubleshooting aircraft electrical circuits. Additionally, in the same year, they received training for AW 139 Maintenance and Sikorsky S 92A Maintenance. Garrett Tillis also holds an FAA Airframe & Powerplant certification.
