Research and Development Hardware Engineer at Aerospacelab

Bertrand Steenput has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Bertrand began their career in 2012 and 2013 as a Technician at the Royal Observatory of Belgium. In 2014, they served as the Corporate Relations officer for BEST Louvain-la-Neuve at the Board of European Students of Technology. That same year, they also took on the role of Second in Command and Health and Safety Officer during the Mission to Mars simulation at UCL.

In 2015, Bertrand worked as a Jobist at the Bibliothèque des sciences et technologie de l'UCL, where they provided assistance to library users and closed the building at the end of the day. Bertrand continued in this role until 2018.

From 2017 to 2017, they completed a student internship at IBA, where they worked on writing responses to customers and developing proposals for proton therapy systems. In 2018, they joined B12 Consulting as an Analyst Developer, offering strategic consulting, software development, and data analytics services to clients. Bertrand remained at B12 Consulting until 2020.

In 2020, Bertrand joined Quimesis Engineering as an Embedded Software Engineer, where they worked until 2021. Bertrand then transitioned to the Observatoire royal de Belgique, where they worked as a Radio Engineer until the end of 2022. Currently, they are employed as a Research and Development Hardware Engineer at Aerospacelab since October 2022.

Bertrand Steenput completed their education in a systematic manner, focusing on their interests and goals. Bertrand began their educational journey in 2003 at Athénée Royal Paul Delvaux, where they pursued a CES degree in Science and Latin. After completing their secondary education, Bertrand attended Paramedish instituut Mechelen from 2010 to 2011 and obtained a degree in Pharmacy Technician/Assistant, specializing in paramedic studies.

Bertrand'spassion for engineering prompted him to pursue a higher degree at Université catholique de Louvain. From 2011 to 2016, Bertrand worked towards a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. Building upon their undergraduate studies, they furthered their education at the same institution, completing a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from 2016 to 2018.

Throughout their educational journey, Bertrand Steenput's focus has been on the fields of electrical and electronics engineering, as well as their interest in paramedic studies. With their extensive educational background, they are equipped with a strong foundation to excel in these domains.
