Guillaume François

FPGA Engineer at Aerospacelab

Guillaume François has a diverse work experience in various industries. Guillaume is currently working as an FPGA Engineer at Aerospacelab since February 2023. Prior to this, they were a FRIA Research Fellow - Ph.D. Student at F.R.S. - FNRS from August 2017 to March 2022. During this time, they conducted research on eddy current losses in printed windings for the optimization of slotless permanent machines.

Guillaume also worked as a Student Teaching Assistant at Université catholique de Louvain from September 2015 to June 2017. Additionally, they participated in the HEC Business game - HBG as a finalist for the Venture Capital and Marketing Challenges in April 2017.

Guillaume François was a member of the team "Nautilus" for Eurobot contest 2016, where they contributed their mechatronics skills to design and build an autonomous robot. Guillaume achieved second place in the Belgian Cup and their robot won the jury's prize for the most original design.

In December 2013, they participated in the Forum Centrale-Supélec as a team member, providing students with the opportunity to meet companies. Guillaume also worked as an intern operator at UCB in July-August 2014 and as a Mathematics Teacher at My Sherpa in 2012-2013.

Guillaume François has a diverse education history. Guillaume completed their Bachelor's degree in Electricity & Mechanics from Université catholique de Louvain in 2015. During the same period, they also pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Economics from Université Paris Dauphine - PSL.

From 2011 to 2017, Guillaume continued their studies at Université catholique de Louvain, where they obtained a Master's degree in Electromechanical Engineering with a focus on Mechatronics. Furthermore, from 2013 to 2017, they also completed a Master of Engineering ("Diplôme Grande Ecole") from CentraleSupélec.

In 2018, Guillaume enrolled at Louvain School of Management and attained a Master's degree (60 credits) in Management, which they completed in 2020.
