Cloud Software Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Aerospike

Brian Rogers has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Brian began their career in 2011 as a Technical Support Representative at Pace American, Inc., where they provided assistance to customers with tech support and billing issues. Brian then joined Cable One, Inc. as a Solutions Specialist I, offering over-the-phone tech support to customers with connection, home networking, and browser issues.

In 2012, Brian joined IPRO Tech as a Client Services Representative, where they supported clients with IPRO Tech software and performed enterprise-level development testing and software quality assurance. Brian later transitioned to the role of Enterprise Quality Assurance Analyst, testing and assisting in the development of Ipro Tech eCapture software and eDiscovery products. Brian also served as a Release Engineer, generating and maintaining installation packages using InstallShield and C#.

Brian then moved on to L. J. Smith and Associates as a Release Engineer, facilitating software component releases for Wal-Mart Point of Sale Systems. Brian worked closely with Product Management to fix bugs, maintain, and enhance the point of sale software.

In 2013, Brian joined CompuCom as a Unix/Linux System Administrator, managing UNIX and Linux systems within the Wal-Mart home office and store environment. Brian administered systems such as HP-UX, AIX, and SuSE Enterprise Linux, and handled technologies like Web Services, Clustering, Storage Arrays, Tape Backups, VMWare, and XEN.

At NTT America, Brian worked as an SCM Engineer, building, maintaining, and configuring code releases for internal and client use. Brian automated the release process using shell scripting and Bamboo Task engine and collaborated with the team to improve standards and procedures for timely releases.

In 2015, Brian joined InComm Digital Solutions as a Systems Engineer, responsible for maintaining the stability of high-value production systems. Brian also transitioned to the role of Application Support Specialist, administering and supporting an entire production environment.

Brian then joined NAVEX Global in 2019 as a DevOps Engineer, where they maintained code compilation and deployment pipelines, drove progress in full CI/CD, and researched and implemented new technologies/software to enhance development.

In 2021, Brian joined PropStream as a Lead DevSecOps Engineer, implementing modern AWS tooling into EC2 images to reduce TTR (Time to Resolution) by 50% and taking on organizational security and infosec responsibilities.

Currently, Brian works at Aerospike, Inc. as a Cloud Software Reliability Engineer (SRE). Their responsibilities include delivering customer environments, maintaining and troubleshooting customer environments, and researching and implementing new features for the Aerospike Customer Services platform.

Brian Rogers obtained their High School Diploma from Casa Grande Union High School, where they studied High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates, from 2006 to 2010. In 2009, they briefly attended Central Arizona College to explore different fields of study, although they did not complete a degree at this institution.
