Simon Zhao

Simon Zhao has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Simon currently holds the position of Senior Software Engineer at Aerospike, starting in August 2022. Before this, Simon worked at Bit Quill Technologies as a Senior Software Developer II from September 2021 to August 2022 and as a Software Developer II from February 2018 to September 2021. During their time at Bit Quill Technologies, Simon led the implementation of a new database driver integrated with the AWS SDK and ported the driver library to various languages such as Java, C#, Python, Go, and TypeScript. Simon also ensured best practices in package releases. Prior to that, Simon worked at BuildDirect Technologies as a Full Stack Engineer from May 2016 to January 2017 and at Tasktop Technologies as a Jr. QA Engineer from September 2014 to May 2015. Simon began their career at Dotalicious Gaming as a Software Beta Tester and Mediator from July 2011 to February 2013, where they conducted web client beta testing, mediated disputes between users, and handled misconduct.

Simon Zhao has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia.
