Kevin Choi has a diverse work experience in the aerospace industry. Kevin started their career as a Propulsion Team member at the Society for Advanced Rocket Propulsion in 2015. From 2015 to 2017, Kevin worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Aircraft Icing and Aerodynamics Research Group at the University of Washington. In 2016, they joined the Liquid Bi-propellant Motor Project as the CAD and DAQ Lead. Kevin then served as the Configuration and Integration Team Lead for the Super-Cruise Aircraft Senior Capstone Project in 2017.
Subsequently, Kevin worked as a Design Engineer at Hexcel Corporation from 2017 to 2019. Kevin then transitioned to AeroTEC - Aerospace Testing Engineering & Certification Inc. as an Aerospace Engineer, first focusing on Product Development from 2019 to 2020, and later on Product Innovation starting in 2023.
Kevin's most recent position was as a Systems Engineer at Boeing, where they worked from mid-2022 until early 2023. Overall, Kevin Choi has garnered experience in various roles within the aerospace engineering field, ranging from research and development to testing and certification.
Kevin Choi started their education at the University of Washington, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from 2013 to 2017. After completing their undergraduate education, Kevin enrolled at the University of Southern California in 2021 to pursue a Master of Science degree in Astronautical Engineering. However, they withdrew from the program before completing it in 2023.
In addition to their formal education, Kevin also obtained several certifications. In 2018, they received a CATIA Advanced Surfacing certification from Inceptra. Furthermore, in 2016, they obtained a University of Washington Machine Shop Certification from the University of Washington Mechanical Engineering department. Kevin also holds a Full Stack Web Development Certification from the University of Washington, obtained in 2021.
Kevin has also acquired professional certifications in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing - Fundamentals and Geometric Tolerance Applications and Tolerance Stacks. These certifications were earned in 2023 from ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers).
