Patrick Moran

President and COO at AES Corporation

Patrick Moran has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries.

From 2000 to 2008, they worked at LEK Consulting as a Manager, specializing in Business Strategy/M&A. Patrick managed teams and conducted strategic due diligence projects across different industries. Patrick also led a multinational team in a five-month comprehensive business process review for a global airline in Southeast Asia, resulting in a new organizational structure with streamlined reporting lines and increased managerial responsibilities.

From 2008 to 2012, they served as the COO at General Compression, a renewable energy technology startup. Patrick provided strategic advice to the CEO, founders, and Board of Directors, adapting the business plan to economic conditions and government programs. Patrick managed investor and legal affairs, securing a $3M bridge investment. Additionally, they oversaw all company operations, including HR, legal, accounting, and recruiting.

Starting in 2013, Patrick worked as an Independent Consultant at JLP Consulting until 2015.

Since 2015, they have been involved with Main Street Partners, a non-profit organization, serving as the Executive Director. In this role, they provide strategic consulting services to small businesses in the Greater Boston area. Patrick oversees consulting teams, advises business owners, pursues fundraising efforts, and recruits volunteers.

In 2017, Patrick joined AES Corporation as the President and COO.

Patrick Moran attended Boston College from 1987 to 1991, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History/Political Science. Patrick then continued their education at The Johns Hopkins University from 1998 to 1999, obtaining a Master of Arts degree in Conflict Management. Patrick later attended The Wharton School in 1999 and 2000, completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Strategic Management.
