Alan Sims

Alan Sims, MUP, MRED, is an accomplished professional in environmental planning and permitting with extensive experience across multiple companies. Currently serving as a Senior Analyst in Environmental Permitting at The AES Corporation, Alan has previously held roles as an Environmental Planner at ICF and a Safety Coordinator at PG&E, demonstrating expertise in managing environmental compliance projects and facilitating public interest processes. Notable accomplishments include preparing environmental assessment reports, submitting permits to multiple regulatory agencies, and training new planners. Alan holds a Master’s degree in Real Estate Development and a Master’s degree in Urban Planning, along with a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from the University of San Diego.
