Dale Apgar

Dale Apgar is a Senior Engineer in Wind Control at The AES Corporation, focusing on managing turbine performance transitions, negotiating wind turbine performance tests, and applying new technologies for monitoring turbine performance since September 2023. Previously, Dale served as Lead Engineer at GE Renewable Energy from 2018 to 2022, where responsibilities included leading nacelle lidar validation, managing wind turbine performance tests, and developing innovative testing techniques. Prior to that, Dale held a similar position at GE Power & Water from 2008 to 2018, overseeing validation projects and new product power curve generation. Dale began a career at GE in the Edison Engineering Development Program between 2006 and 2008, experiencing various engineering rotations. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth, a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, and a BA in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College.
