Lyle V. is a Microgrid Product Solutions Engineer at The AES Corporation, focusing on utility-scale microgrid projects and grid-forming plant functionality. Previously, Lyle V. interned at Xcel Energy, contributing to the Community Resiliency Initiative by installing microgrids across Colorado and developing a microgrid reference guide. As a Graduate Student Researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Lyle V. conducted power system stability analysis and researched inverter control methods. Lyle V. also has a background in mechanical engineering, having worked at Freeport-McMoRan on automating a reagent dosing system and as a design engineering intern at Caterpillar Inc. Lyle V. holds a Master of Science in Advanced Energy Systems from Colorado School of Mines and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from South Dakota Mines.
