Vicente Javier Giorgio

Vicente Javier Giorgio has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the Global VP EHS&S, Global Insurance, Fuels, and Energy Transition Solutions, as well as COO of South America at The AES Corporation since January 2013. With previous roles including General Manager of AES Gener and President of Andes SBU, Vicente has overseen significant power generation assets in Latin America, specifically in Chile, Argentina, and Colombia, totaling 9,000 MW of installed capacity. Prior roles include COO of AES-Gener, Country Manager at AES Panama, and General Manager at Electricidad de Caracas. Vicente holds an MBA from Universidad del CEMA and has completed a Senior Leadership Program at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. Educational qualifications also feature a degree in electronic engineering from Universidad Tecnológica Nacional and a technical degree in electronics.
