Libageba Abitew

Libageba Abitew is an experienced public health professional currently serving as Team Leader for the Technical Assistance to the Social Determinants of Health Program at AESA - Agriconsulting Europe SA since April 2022. Prior to this role, Libageba held several key positions at Save the Children International from October 2011 to April 2022, including Program Director for both the NORDIC and EU portfolios, and Senior Program Manager for Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) programs. Libageba's earlier experience includes serving as Deputy Chief of Party for the USAID/Ethiopia Preventive Care Package at Population Services International and roles in regional coordination and health management with Save the Children USA and Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia. With a Master of Public Health from the University of Gondar and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Jimma University, Libageba brings a strong educational background complemented by extensive practical experience in health program management and implementation.
