Katy Tucker

Katy Tucker has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as the People Operations Team Lead at Aesto Health since April 2022. Before that, they worked at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, AL for several years. Here, they held multiple roles, including Director of Inpatient Rehab Services from October 2019 to April 2022. In this position, they oversaw all operations of the Inpatient Rehabilitation department and assisted with admissions processes and insurance authorizations. Katy also served as a Charge Nurse from October 2016 to October 2019, where they provided care and coaching to patients during their rehabilitation journeys. Additionally, they have experience as a Registered Nurse at Trinity Medical Center from October 2013 to October 2016, where they assessed patient needs and developed care plans. Prior to their healthcare roles, Katy worked as a Banquet Manager at Indian Hills Country Club from 2010 to 2011, where they managed and supervised banquet events.

Katy Tucker has a diverse education history. Katy earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Environmental Sciences with a focus on Restaurant, Hotel, and Meetings Management from The University of Alabama in the years 2006-2010. Following this, they pursued a Master's Degree in Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 2013 to 2015. In 2012, Katy also completed an Accelerated Master's in Nursing Pathway program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

In terms of certifications, Katy obtained the Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) credential from the Rehabilitation Nursing Certification Board in 2018. Katy is also a Registered Nurse, licensed by the Alabama Board of Nursing in February 2013. Additionally, they received certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) from the American Heart Association in 2011.
