Andrew Plewe

Andrew Plewe is a Mechanical Design Engineer at Aeva, Inc. since June 2021, with prior experience as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Aurora, where responsibilities included electronic hardware packaging and integrating lidar and radar modules into autonomous vehicle systems. Andrew served as Chassis Subsystem Lead for UC Berkeley Formula SAE, leading a team to design and validate the chassis for a competition vehicle that ranked in the top-10 at the 2020 FSAE California competition. Additional experience includes undergraduate research at the Berkeley Emergent Space Tensegrities Lab, developing a CFD model using ANSYS Fluent, and mechanical engineering internships at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, focusing on optomechanical design and airworthy chassis for the MQ-9 Reaper. Andrew holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
