Désirée Baer

Désirée Baer is a Swiss business executive who has held various positions in the finance and transportation industries. Désirée is currently the Director at Aew Energie Ag.

Baer began their career at Credit Suisse AG in 1996, where they worked for five years as a Director. Désirée then moved to Ernst&Young AG, where they worked as a Senior Manager for three years. In 2004, they joined Helbling Corporate Finance AG as a member of the executive team. During their six-year tenure there, Baer was responsible for M&A, restructuring, and transaction services.

In 2010, Baer joined SBB AG, the Swiss Federal Railways, as a member of the executive board and head of procurement, supply chain & production. During their six-year tenure there, they were responsible for procurement, logistics, production, fleet management, and sales. In 2016, they left SBB AG to become the CEO of Securitrans Public Transport Security AG, a position they held until 2020.

Baer has also been involved with several other businesses in Switzerland. In 2008, they founded eyezone, an optical retailer, where they served as CEO and CFO for two years. Désirée also served as an independent board member of SBB Cargo AG from 2013 to 2019.

Baer holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Zurich.

Désirée Baer has a lic. oec. HSG from the University of St.Gallen in Finanzen & Kapitalmärkte and a Nachdiplomstudium Jus from the University of Bern in Wirtschaftsrecht. Désirée is also a CFA - Chartered Financial Analyst from the CFA Institute.
