Carrie Bellerby

Carrie Bellerby is a Managing Director of the firm and AEW’s co-General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Risk Officer. Ms. Bellerby oversees AEW’s legal, regulatory and compliance matters and also oversees AEW’s Insurance Risk Management group. She is co-chair of AEW’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee and a member of AEW’s Compliance, Risk and Operations Committee and Corporate Giving Committee. Prior to joining AEW in 2005, Ms. Bellerby served as an Associate at the law firm Sullivan & Worcester, LLP, in their Business Law Group. At Sullivan & Worcester, Ms. Bellerby concentrated on the areas of public company corporate governance, including advising public company clients on SEC regulations, public offerings, mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions. Ms. Bellerby is a member of the Senior Legal Counsel and Compliance Officers sections of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers and is a graduate of Clark University (B.A.) and Boston College Law School (J.D.).
