Anna Mkrtchyan, MBA

Anna Mkrtchyan, MBA has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In their current role as VP of Finance at AEX Gold Inc, they are responsible for overseeing financial operations. Prior to this, Anna worked as the Commercial, Business Operations & Sustainable Finance Lead at Artemis Project.

Anna has also served as an Activator at SheEO™ and Fractional CFO at Tandem Innovation Group Inc. In addition, Anna has founded their own company, Innovative Strategy Resources, where they provide executive business management solutions to small and medium-sized businesses. Anna is also the Co-Founder and CFO of Thrive Insights Inc., a company that offers strategic planning and financial forecasting consulting services.

Anna's earlier experience includes roles such as Commercial Director, Innovation Group at Barrick Gold Corporation, Manager of Consolidations and Financial Reporting at Glencore, and Supervisor of Corporate Accounting and Consolidations at Glencore (formerly Xstrata Nickel). Anna also worked as a Senior Financial Analyst at Thomas Cook North America. Throughout their career, Anna has demonstrated strong leadership skills, managed large teams, and successfully implemented financial strategies and processes.

Anna Mkrtchyan, MBA has a diverse education history. Anna obtained a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Automation and Control of Technical Systems, from the State Engineering University of Armenia between 1990 and 1995. Anna then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Industrial Engineering and Management Systems from the American University of Armenia, UCLA Affiliate, from 1995 to 1997. Continuing their educational journey in the field of finance, Anna became a student of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants between 1999 and 2009, focusing on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

In 2015, Anna embarked on their Executive MBA at the Ivey Business School at Western University, specializing in Business Administration and Management. Anna completed this degree in 2017. To further enhance their knowledge and skills in the rapidly evolving field of fintech, Anna attended The Ivey Academy at Ivey Business School in 2018, earning a Certificate of Completion for the program "Mastering Fintech: Strategies for the Future".

Additionally, Anna has obtained several certifications to supplement their education. In 2018, they completed the "Betty Liu on Career Success" course offered by LinkedIn. In the same year, they also earned a certification in "Entrepreneurship 101" from MaRS Discovery District. In 2019, Anna further enhanced their skillset by obtaining a certification in Data Analytics from BrainStation.
