AF CyberWorx
Air Force CyberWorx solves DOD operational problems by collaborating with the government, industry, and academia tied to the innovation ecosystems. Through an intentional understanding of Warfighter-Centric needs, we work with stakeholders to rapidly design, adapt, or cultivate emergent technology with creative solutions to problems centered around the warfighters. Our Vision: Instill a culture of continuous problem-solving and improvement by putting the user at the forefront of every AF initiative. Lines of Effort: LOE 1: Problem Solving Using Human-Centered Design and developing Minimum Viable Products - Delivering effective, leading-edge solutions while putting the users' needs at the forefront. - Developing MVPs to make sure users get what they want. LOE 2: Technology Forecasting and Experimentation - We look 2 to 3 "ridgelines" out to discover emerging technology that will anticipate and solve future challenges before they become problems. - We will experiment with emerging technology early to ensure the AF is ready to integrate the capability when viable. LOE 3: Human-Centered design Education and Training - We educate and train Airmen and Cadets to apply Human-Centered Design methodologies and User Experience techniques to solve real-world operational challenges. - We mentor Cadets with their capstone projects, ensuring they correctly identify the problem and help them develop solutions focused on user needs. AF CyberWorx was established in August 2016 by the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, General Mark A. Walsh III.
