Rúben Marques Freitas

Rúben Marques Freitas is a proficient engineer with extensive experience in the photovoltaic (PV) sector. Currently serving as a PV Plant Inspector Engineer at afaplan since May 2021, Rúben oversees construction activities for multiple large-scale projects, including the 200 MW Cerca Photovoltaic Power Plant. Previous roles include Portfolio Manager Assistant at Capital Energy and Site Manager at Sunnerg Group, where Rúben managed operations at the Branston Solar Power Plant. Rúben also held various positions at afaplan, including PV Plant Designer and Programme Manager, contributing to the design and implementation of several major PV plants. Earlier experience includes work as a Junior Project Engineer at Enforce - Engenharia da Energia and a Production Engineer at Ibero Massa Florestal. Rúben holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Renewable Energies from Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco.
