Barry Brown

Executive Director/Sales at AFAR

Barry Brown has extensive experience in the sales and advertising industry. Barry began their career in 1994 as a VP, Account Director at DDB Needham. In 1997, they joined both American Express and Travel + Leisure as a Director Strategic Partnerships and Director Sales Development, respectively. In 2007, they moved to CurtCo Media as an Advertising Director/Travel. In 2009, they were hired as a Director Sales Development at The Wall Street Journal, where they managed development of travel category advertising for Wall Street Journal and WSJ. Magazine. Finally, in 2010, they were hired at AFAR Media as an Executive Director/Sales and later promoted to Senior Director, Sales.

Barry Brown attended Valhalla High School before receiving a Bachelor of Science (BS) and a BA in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication from Syracuse University between 1980 and 1984.
