Matt Vana

Matt Vana, CPA has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Matt began their career at Varney, Fink & Associates as a Staff Accountant from August 2008 to September 2011. Following that, they joined Medical Mutual where they held multiple positions including Staff Internal Auditor II from September 2011 to February 2014, Sr. Internal Auditor from February 2014 to January 2015, Sr. Financial Accounting Analyst from January 2015 to August 2017, and Manager of Accounts Payable from August 2017 to May 2019.

After their time at Medical Mutual, Matt transitioned to Afaxys, Inc. where they took on roles such as Assistant Controller from May 2019 to January 2022, Associate Director of Financial Planning & Analysis from January 2022 to July 2023, and currently serves as the Director of Finance since July 2023.

Matt Vana has also obtained several certifications, including a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation from the Accountancy Board Of Ohio in 2016 and the South Carolina Board of Accountancy in 2022. Matt also holds certifications as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and a Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc., which they obtained in 2013.
