Ian Cloke is an accomplished geoscientist and executive in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as Chief Operating Officer and Co-founder of Afentra PLC since March 2021, focusing on responsible independent production and development in Africa. Prior to this, Ian founded Navara Energy, providing executive advisory services to leaders in the resources sector. Ian's extensive experience at Tullow Oil from 2005 to 2020 includes roles such as Executive Vice President and significant restructuring initiatives that generated substantial savings. Ian's career also includes key positions at ExxonMobil and Mobil Oil, with a strong emphasis on exploration and appraisal across various global regions. Ian holds a PhD from Royal Holloway, University of London, an Executive MBA from London Business School, and advanced degrees in geological sciences and basin evolution.
